Having got his name in the Guinness Book of World Records as 'The Oldest Competing Aerobatic Pilot In The World', Ian Metcher has capped an extraordinary life. Born during the First World War, at 14 years of age he had left school and eventually joined the Airforce, training as a mechanical engineer. Following his motto "Get up and Go!" Ian's life has been one of challenges, adventure, humour, poetry, music, sport, romance and travel. Demonstrating that age is no barrier, Ian's life story will inspire and move you!
